I
joined the faculty of Carleton University's School of Public Policy and Administration in July
2014, where I teach graduate students in both the Public Administration program and in Canada's first Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership.
From 2010-2014, I was a Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholar, an Oxford University Press Clarendon Scholar, and a
Doctoral Fellow of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of
Canada. In 2014 I completed a DPhil in Information, Communication and the Social Sciences at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford, under the supervision of Dr. Helen Margetts.
Research
My research explores public administration, public policy, civic engagement and digital technologies. I'm particularly interested in public sector innovation, digital government reform, civic technology and data governance.
Prior to my academic career, I worked for the Parliamentary Information and Research Service of Canada's Library of Parliament, where I prepared reports on social media, digital government, democratic engagement and parliamentary governance.
